  • I went with the filler on the spring aproach. I didn't stretch my tubs (yet). You might take a look at Crawlin68's he moved his filler back with stretched tubs.

    • How is this set up with mud or snow? Pain to fill untill you take a hose to it or no big deal?
      1970 w/89 5.0, np 435/203/205, 456/locker/ARB, 4 wheel disc brakes w/hydroboost, 5.5" lift w/ext.radius arms, 3" bod lift, RS 9000's, tilt column, Hydro assist steering, 39.5" pitbull's on H1's. 4 link rear suspension. Hey brother, can you spare some change, I need parts....

        It hasn't been an issue yet and I have used it this way in the snow several times.
        Here is a picture of Crawlin68's from the inside. I believe his fuel tank is moved back 3-4" too, but that probably isn't needed for the filler. It would be really trick if you could put the tail light on a hinge and have the filler behind it.

          That is a KILLER idea! If I could figure a way to make that work I'd consider it - it would only be one quarter to repaint... hmm....

            Now there is an idea I hadn't thought of. Have to take a long look at it and see how much work it'd be.

                            • Not sure if I want to go the fuel cell route. Possible. Definatley easier.
