Cheap sand blaster works great. Getting front end parts ready for some paint and then reassemble steering knuckles with new ball joints. Tedious but making some progress.

One step forward. Two steps back. PO cut out tunnel to install floor shifter for the three speed. Cut the support. Ugh. More work. I found this out when I cleaned off a quarter inch of carpet glue.

Got to make sure the Carpet stays down when you are cruising with the top off... If a little is good, them a whole Bunch is better!

Picked up this tunnel/floor pan from CL for $100. Definitely not as good of quality as the old factory parts. Might order one from Tom’s and see if it’s just the aftermarket manufacturers try at a remake. The other floor pan that I ordered from Tom’s was almost exact as factory. What do you guys think? It looks good from here, but it may be a whole different story looking at it in person and actually trying to fit it. Do you know where this one came from? Just curious.

Trying to line up, to weld, the tunnel support that the previous owner chopped.

Pulled the frame out to get the stress cracks welded up by where the steering box mounts up. The rain has held up progress. Once I get this done and finish painting the frame, then I can start installing the running gear after I replace seals install the steering knuckles and paint the axles.
