ID:	275370 critter nest. Now to clean and paint the rest end.
And install new seals. Possibly rear disc. Not really set on them yet. Decisions decisions.

Your front end came out great! Looks brand new. Good luck on the rear.

I think I would rather go hydroboost Karl, before I would do rear disc...

            Front end came out Nice

ID:	275374 I was going to install the new C-bushings and decided to heed some advice that I read on classic broncos. Run a tap in all your threads first. So glad I did and found this bugered up thread before I had it all mounted up under the frame and trying to install the spring caps on top of the radius arms. It was pretty bad. Took 40 minutes to get it tapped. Oil was my best friend.

I pretty much run a tap through every thread hole now... Whether I am assembling a motor, doing body work, or suspension overhauls... A Wise decision!

First casualty, I knew I should have been wearing the long welding gloves.

Working on the rear axle. What started out as clean and paint, replace seals and put back under the frame, now I need new outer bearings. They are shot. And if you can see in the pic of the axles, the bearing retainer is bent and has been welded. I take one thing apart and need six more parts to put it back together. Lol. But it looks pretty, all shiny black.

It looks like at some point, the bearings were bad enough that the drum was wearing on the backing plate.

Someone welded in a chunk of metal into the drum to replace the missing piece. I’m finding all kinds of treasures today.
