    Re: 67 bronco

I used that sender in my first rendition of fuel pumps. I bought this pump (better flow)

and it mounted right up to replace the explorer pump. just something to file away for later....

What are these called and where can I get new ones or recommendations on manufacturing my own. They are for the rear seat belts. PO cut off flush with a grinder.

Make you own... 1/4 thick flat steel, plug welded to the body. Dill and tap for 7/16 fine thread bolts. Would not hurt to make them longer...

Are you using the Explorer box and cover seal?

I found the Windstar vans box and seal worked better. (See Pic) You have to watch clearance on the cowl support brace on the inside... Also makes the defrost tubes a little tight to fit...

You also might want to consider relocating the 3/4" hole for the heater control cable lower and closer to the passenger side. (See Pic)

I don’t have a box yet. Still need to go get one. GARRY said the escape box was a good box. Thoughts?

More surprises. PO welded after market front shock mounting too low. Tie rods hit. Found this out while testing turning radius to get disc brake hoses lined up so they don’t hit or rub. Add this to the list. Lol

The Windstar is harder to get to, you need to use a sawzall once you remove the glove box door. I have heard that Escape boxes are easier to get to, but I have no experience...

This was a pretty common thing that was done back-in-the-day to get dual shocks. Shock Tech has come a long way since then, and IMHO you only need one quality shock... Unless you are Dessert racing

Thanks Doug. I looked at that and I might have made a mistake.

Stopped by picknpull today to pickup a computer box. Found a hydro boost also. Everything out the door. $38. Out of ten Astro vans, nine had already had the hydro boost pulled out. It’s a popular item?

Yes popular... Someone on Classic is selling the HB for $100 used

Wish I had know you were going, would of had you grab a ECU box for me

If I make it back over there I can pick you one up and send it to you. I ended up sawsalling the front of the engine firewall out which was easier than trying to do it from inside by the glove box.

It seems like the wind star housing sticks out further than the Explorer housing. I’m hoping that will be an issue?
