My dad dropped the bomb that he is coming to California to stay with us for 1-2 months NEXT WEEK! My wife said I couldn't go on the Con trip and leave her with my dad for 4 days. I said TOOOO-----BAAAAD honey, i'm going! It's not like my dad is only staying a week for crying out loud.

I decided to take the Non-camping family to Loon Lake for a night. I'll be at Loon with my Bronco on the day of the 28th stay the night and out on the 29th. If you assholes pass my Bronco be sure to throw a beer at me and laugh your ass off. Have fun be safe and I'll catch you on the next one. What channel you guys gonna be on? I'll punch you up on the CB and listen for ya.....

Here's my plan:

I'll be at the Kiosk at noon thursday. I will wait for anyone that wants to caravan in together until 1PM. After that I will be aired down and in 4Low hitting the trail.

I plan to exit the tahoe side and enjoy the drive home.

Hope to see all you guys (and girls) on the trail next week.

Thats my plan also. If possible i would like to camp at Buck Island and the Rubicon Springs if we get a chance. Pictures on Observation point on Saturday or Sunday..
But open to all ideas..

Is there a place to leave the tow rig/trailer at the trailhead? Assume it's safe?

I'll bring plenty of beer for bonfire festivities! A buddy of mine will probably be riding with me as well.

There's tow rig parking at the loon lake entrance, although it does get crowded on busy weekends.
