Everything seems to be working and I got her fired up again after 5 months. Now just need to tidy up some of the wires and the Harness install will be complete. One more question regarding power to the coil and where it should come from. There is a pertonix installed in place of points so not using the ballast resistor. Should I run the blue IGN Pwr wire directly to the + side of coil, the white Coil + wire, or run a wire from the starter relay I terminal to the coil? I am thinking either the blue Ign Pwr or I terminal would work but I would appreciate someone that know confirming or telling me the correct way. Thanks

The "I" terminal supplies 12v power only when the starter relay is closed while the engine is cranking.

Blue wire should be 12v all the time while in crank and run and if you need lower voltage (points) then you would run the ballast resistor to drop the voltage.

Pertronix question, does it need an unreduced 12v as in 12v all the time? My guess is yes, so blue wire....

Thanks Doug. Yes it needs constant 12v so I will use the blue wire.

About 99% complete with the wiring. Took the family for a short spin around the neighborhood yesterday afternoon and parked in the driveway so I could clean up a little. Was dark when I went to pull her in for the night so decided to check out the interior under dash and roll bar lights . Very pleased with them. Wired up to a three way rocker switch so I can manually turn them on if the doors are closed, run on door switches, or turn them off completely. Went to pull her in the garage and turned on the headlights and no low beams, had just worked fine the last time I turned them on. High beams worked but no lows. Spent close to two hours posting power, plugs, etc. Finally pulled the plug to the dimmer switch so I could test for power and the switch fell apart. At least I found the problem and its an easy fix.

Call Centech tomorrow morning back in PA... Explain exactly what happen with their "new" switch and they will send you a replacement... (I had one do the same thing on my 1st harness replacement)

Maybe next year we can make the Rock and Roll event at Tom's? This years was cancelled, but happening virtually.

Hoping the Swap meet happens at WH's in October...

I talked to them this morning. They were great and are sending one out to me. We were planning on going to Tom’s again this year and was disappointed to hear it was canceled. Next year is a must now. Also hoping the WH event happens.

I’m hoping the Northwest Bronco Roundup is still happening. It’s up in the air right now. Should know something in the next couple of weeks.

Your bronco is looking very nice. I scrolled quickly though your thread and did not notice if this has already been answered, so I will be "that guy" and ask - what kind of seats are those, specifically the front ones? The rear looks like the fold-and-tumble aftermarket seat sold by one or more of the vendors. I have been wanting to replace my front seats for a while, and I would like to add a rear seat at some point. Having them all match or nearly match would be a definite bonus...

70Steed - Would love to do the roundup. The timing just doesn’t work for my family right now as it is after school is back in session. My wife is a teacher and two kids in high school.

CityHick - Thanks for the compliment. The seats were in it when I purchased. I believe they are the same as the ones Tom’s sells.

The interior looks really nice! That is a great color combination. Those do look like the Toms Premium seats. How do you like them? Are they comfortable?

They probably wouldn’t have been my first choice if I was purchasing them just because I prefer the look of a lower back. They are pretty comfortable though.

Got about 150 miles on it now and most of the bugs worked out. Had an issue with the instrument voltage regulator. I installed a new oil sender since I previously had a mechanical gauge. Started the engine to test and everything appeared to be working fine. The next morning I started it and was driving to work when I noticed all the gauges except voltage were pegged. Checked the voltage when I got home and had 12v on both sides of the regulator. I took the regulator off of my old instrument cluster and installed it. All the gauges work now, but the temp and oil pressure are registering higher than they previously did. About 210 from 180 on the temp and about 70 from 30-40 on the oil. Gas gauge seems to be fine. Could this still be the voltage regulator? I was thinking about buying one of the adjustable electronic regulators from Tom’s. I have a few more updates to post on a few smaller upgrades I made while I had her down. Just need to get a few pictures because the pictures are what we all want.

Haven’t done much since the last post. Couple of additional items I didn’t previously mention. 1). When I added the family cage I didn’t like how the rear seat passengers head was positioned relative to the rear roll bar. So I repositioned the rear seat forward 5 inches and I think it works well. Still plenty of leg room and an added bonus is a little more storage room behind the rear seat. 2). Wife bought me a bikini top for Father’s Day. Still playing around with exactly how I want to secure the straps before I trim them. Love not having to wear a hat to cover my bald head with the top off. 3). Got a set of the WH floor mats for the front. Really like them and they were easy to trim for the roll bar. Wish they sold a matching one for the rear. 4). Picked up a cheap tach so I can actually tell how fast/slow the engine is turning. 5). New door panels, arm rests, and cups.
