I haven't run out of wire yet, welder came with a large roll. But I did run out of shielding gas doing work on the 67... Looks good, I would have suggested taking the ash tray out too. Never had one work the way they are supposed to. Reminder of a bygone era, in CA anyway.

I only had a 2lb spool. I had thought about removing the ash tray, but mine is in perfect shape. Don’t think it was ever used, which is pretty unbelievable considering how everyone used to smoke back when I was a kid.

My comment was about the black one piece door post (A Pillar) you used, I tried that one; but, ended up going with the two piece one instead......looks good

Brad - I was a little worried about the door post at first since the new one was about a 1/4” narrower across the back flange area. Didn’t’ seem to make any difference once I got it all lined up though.

Im fighting my striker (B pillar)... welded the new one in and lined up, closing great then found swiss cheese covered with bondo in the lower 1/4 and rusted through bedrail seem. Replaced all that nonsense and now I can't get the door to line up for crap.

Used some pan head framing screws to "tack" the B pillar support in and to hang the post to the upper and lower quarter, couple regular sheetmetal screws through the tail light housing and everything lined up. The 7/16 bolts holding the door latch were dragging on the bumps in front of the striker; gave it a little rappy tap tap and it was money.

Nice work. Always satisfying when it finally works after all the hard work.

Feels like I’m not getting anywhere fast, but making progress. Got the dash welded up, some fiberglass repair on the heater box, and patched another small spot of rust. Been removing seam sealer and cleaning up the interior metal. Hoping to primer as sooner than later.

Paint or powder coat the dash Mike? If PC, I have a color for you that is very close to Parchment!

Doug I’m going to paint it. Going to try Wimbledon White and see how I like it.

Been making some more progress. Got the primer sprayed on Friday, seams sealed and some color sprayed on the door jams, cowl, windshield frame, and front end. Next is the raptor liner inside the cab. Click image for larger version

Awesome work! I would love to do up another bronco like this and keep it on 31s. Need a bigger garage!

Outstanding work there Mike. It has got to be a good feeling to get some paint on things. Doug.

Thanks Phantom. We all could use a bigger garage.

Doug - It does feel good to get some color on at least part of her. Just hoping the color on the rockers is close since that is what is going to next to the existing paint. Someday the rest will get painted. Just trying to get her back on the road for the summer. I did the engine harness back from Gary this past week. It’s going to be sitting for a while but will be there when I get around to the explorer swap. Hopefully by this time next year. I’m sure I will need some of your advise on that. I am thinking hard about getting a Centech harness to install now since I have the factory harness pulled out of the tub and the dash removed.
