Got everything back together. Another leak. Damn corrosion on a twenty year old part. Replacement in stock at O’Reilly. Got it back together this morning. Quick run to heat it up and no leaks so far. Click image for larger version

Happy to report. No leaks. But had another spit and sputter issue tonight While taking the wife to Dairy Queen. Took a corner and it spit and sputtered bad. Figured I have a loose ground from my latest repairs. Pulled into Exxon. Figured I’d get gas cuz the gage is empty when tank is actually half full. But haven’t put gas in it since I don’t know when. Welp. Had to put 22.9 gallons in it. Haha. Aero tank must have only had .1 gallons left.

Well at least it was an easy fix! No trips to the Wreaking yard or broken bolts

It’s the thermostat housing on an explorer motor. Aluminum housing, steel pressed in nipple.

Road trip for my granddaughters birthday. I drove from Sacramento to San Diego. Approximately 1100 miles down I-5 and back. Averaged 14-15mpg. Only one problem. Loose connection on diode fuse. After I left Lodi headed south. Every time that I would hit a pothole or a big bump the motor would momentarily die and then restart. So once I got to pea super Anderson in Santa Nella, I took the diode fuse out and made a better connection. Then zip tied it to hold it, so that it wouldn’t jiggle loose. After that no problems. I do need to figured out why the np435 leaks all the time. More for the list.

Yes. I was the only bronco I saw. Haha. It’s been a while since I drove down to san Diego. Roads are being resurfaced. Real smooth ride now.

A little wheeling this weekend with friends. I love the efi. Ran flawlessly up at about 8000 feet.
