1970 w/89 5.0, np 435/203/205, 456/locker/ARB, 4 wheel disc brakes w/hydroboost, 5.5" lift w/ext.radius arms, 3" bod lift, RS 9000's, tilt column, Hydro assist steering, 39.5" pitbull's on H1's. 4 link rear suspension. Hey brother, can you spare some change, I need parts....Comment

Why do I work OT?!?!?! The more I do, the less I get.
I do not get it at all. I claim 1
Normally I get 21% of my 88hr pay taken for taxes. I Swear the second I work minimum of 5 hours OT it bumps up! Todays check is 31%. Im not a baller and dont make a zillion dollars, so what gives?!?!
Then when i need to buy something, I get taxed 9%.
I am seriously starting to doubt ... ... ... I won't start. You guys feel the same way.

You need some writeoffs bud. Scrape the money together for a down payment, and buy a cheap foreclosed condo or something. Don't worry, it only gets worse... just wait until you jump up into the 28% (or higher) brackets. Then it really starts getting depressing. My house is my only salvation from taxes... I remember those days! As a ranch mechanic/ welder putting in rediculous amounts of overtime (16-18hrs/ day, 7 days/ week) my paycheck wasn't all that much more than my regular 60hrs/ week! Taxes beat the hell out of it.Originally posted by 71BRONCO71 View Post

EX; my 22 mo son didn't know I was out wrenching on the Swiss Family Bronco last night until I threw something, making a loud bang, and quit for the night. I was coming in the door and he was standing there crying with shoes in hand to come out and help dad! Broke my heart when I told him we were done for the night. Kids are amazing!
