I'm new to this group too - Mike chick from Granite Bay. My 68 is very similar to yours (37s / NP435 / lockers ). I was down for the Thursday crew but it looks like my co-pilot needs me to switch to Friday. I can meet at the dam most any time. 10:00 or 11:00 am would be great. I would like to drive in with a group. I went as far and little sluice last year and my carb was a crapping out. I now have an FITech so I cross my fingers that all is good as I have only street driven it about 100 miles.

Still planning on being at the Loon spillway on Friday around 10:00-11:00. Trying to finish some last minute items on my Bronco and start packing. Looking forward to a fun trip. Planning on going in to Buck and hanging out with everyone and going out through Cadillac on Sunday. Anyone know how much snow is at the top? I would think the trail should be clear. Should be great weather with highs in the 60s to low 70s.

Trail conditions thread over on Pirate says the trail is open. There is some snow at Miller but vehicles on 35s have been through.
I'm not sure if we'll go out to Tahoe or just head back to Loon.
I'm seeing a high of 56 for Friday, 64 for Saturday, and 70 for Sunday at Loon. Lows in the 40s.

From what I understand teh Hi-landers poker run is only Wentworth to loon and back. Should not really even see them...

Finished the steering yesterday so I drove the 10 miles to work today. I forgot what it's like to drive a lifted short wheel base vehicle on 37" unbalanced bias ply pit bull rocker tires. I hit a harmonic at about 45mph and drove out of it till about 60mph when it started again. I tried to drive out of it but it was shaking pretty bad by 65mph so I backed down to 60mph. It'll be a long drive tomorrow.

I will probably get there around 10:30, depending on traffic.

We're staying in Pollock Pines on Thursday night so we'll take our time getting to Loon. We could be there by 10 but will probably wait till Kyle (kman67) shows up.

Talked to Ryan yesterday, it's beautiful and cool up there, snowed on Patrick on Wednesday! They were waiting on the Friday crew to arrive, plenty off wood for the nights fire and festivities, wish I was there

Thanks NorCal Broncos for a great weekend on the Rubicon. Matt and I had a blast... Hope everyone made it out safe through Loon.
