I did not have a good experience with a Sniper install. Bad IAC which took Holley forever to acknowledge, then they chose to send me a replacement unit rather than the replacement part. That took another 2 weeks...
Skip had a guy he referred me to that is supposed to have those units figured out, but the Owner had already reclaimed the car after 5 months... I haven't had any feedback from him since the install, so I guess that means it is all good?
I am not a Fan of the Product.
Good luck Chris.
Thanks Doug. Between this and the Wilwood hydroboost it has been a frustrating couple of months for sure.
I talked to Adam at Mad Science and he helped me over the phone do some troubleshooting to make sure everything was working properly. He mentioned the bad IAC right out of the box is known issue by Holley and he was surprised they had not addressed it already. I did some datalogging for him and i'm going to send it all off to get a proper tune for it. Hopefully that fixes my issue.
Now to change out the Dual return power steering pump with the replacement that WildHorse4x4 sent me. Maybe then I can get some actual brake pedal firmness. If that doesn't work, I think my last resort is to remove the Lugnut4x4 ebrake rear calipers and put some regular ones on there to see if that is the cause my mushy brake pedal.

The past month of so has been so crazy busy with work, home projects, concerts and trips that I threw in the towel on the Bronco and dropped it off at a buddies shop so he could do the NP435 swap, rework the exhaust since it was hitting the driveshaft and wouldn't work with the NP435 and get the MOAB Hydroboost working properly. It's all in and done and works so much better than the 3 speed with Hurst floor conversion. Up next will be the Wildhorse Gear Banger.
The hydroboost finally works pretty good as well. He used a power brake bleeder and now I have some seriously firm brakes that STOP like no Bronco I've had before.
Very clean... But the AR in me says that the Transfer case shifter boot need a ring around the base like the NP435 has.
hahaha Agreed. I have it in a box .......... somewhere. Next till be to clean up the panels and Raptor line them and reinstall with some button heads and nutserts and find that trim ring.

Nice installation. I had a love-hate relationship with my NP435 for 15 years. It was mostly good though, all things considered (it was free and the adapters were cheap). I was not sad when I drained the oil for the last time and found lots of metal in the oil... it served me well but I could not see rebuilding it!
Now with everything different, I still use my Bronco about as often as before the swap, so in hindsight I could have left well enough alone. haha.

Thanks man, I'm pretty happy with it. I was originally going to go with an AX conversion but the NP435 was so cheap, has the low first gear and will be bulletproof for my needs. I drive the Bronco on the street to local trails and stuff but farther trails I will trailer it so it all made sense. (atleast for now haha)

I have been looking for a way to preserve the patina. Read about boiled linseed oil, or a bunch of other stinky things. Ran into a guy with a sweet rat rod at the gas station and he told me about Sweet Patina "The Sauce" ordered some up and pretty happy with it. Makes the colors more vibrant, takes away that chalkiness to what paint I have left and if buffs down to a pretty decent satin finish. Not quite as matte as I would like but it's acceptable. Oh and it smells awesome too

The patina look is one that I love. Sucks I got to buy my fianc?e her dream car of a VW bug and I seen one from 1960 that is pantina’ed out which would be a killer cruiser for me.
Looks Good Chris, I am a Patina guy too.
I have done some nice paint jobs with Cage Dave (He does great work) but then you can't take it off Road or fear driving it as there are so many Idiots on the road these days.

The roundup was a blast. We came down friday night and cruised around Lodi. My dad lived there when I was young, it was cool to see all the places we used to hang out as kids. Lots of people there but honestly not as many as I was expecting. Lots of new Broncos. Kind of glad I didn't bring my First Edition too and just kept it old school. Talked with Jim at the gate in the morning which was cool. He loved the rig.
Managed to win the best Patina Bronco award which was freaking cool to say the least.
.
Next up, tube doors, rear corner guards and clean up the rockers.
