I really don't want to part with either rig, they are just as nice as the SEMA rigs I saw this week... Those that still had most of their original parts that is...

        • Been working on it, going back together slowly... Trying to go slow and let the paint cure... Not in any hurry to put the hardtop on.

Putting sound deadner in the the reskinned Pass door and wiring up the wipers, Lots of little pieces to find and install too.

          Fresh Driveshafts...

            • I am on the slow Boat to China... All these little nit-picky things left to do.

Like taking the swing side mirrors all apart so I can bend the mounting brackets just a little so they match up to the door skin better.
Or the WH's rear Drive shaft that was on the rig when I bought it that had no grease in the splined section... and had to be replaced.

So I have stopped adding to the list at least and I am making progress forward... See question on rear drains, Can anyone answer this?

              • I wish I still had my blue ‘67 to go see how that seal went!
Maybe it just has to go on after the top bolts on..?

                • Making Progress... Doors are done, Dash pad re-installed, working on door seals and tailgate seals, small odds and ends like keys for the glovebox and tailgate handle lock

                  • Looks really good Doug. Did those side mirrors ever come stock on a Bronco? Or are they aftermarket?

I think they were available on the 76 and 77s.

I had them on my 90 F150... These are aftermarket copies, not as well built as factory, but better visibility than the small factory mirrors I have on the 71. And the holes were already drilled in the door panel.

Sometimes you have to compromise... Like the Dash pad the PO installed is the later style, not correct for the 67, but he bought one of those new replacements, and it still looks brand new... so I put it back on.

                          • Installed a 4 channel amp, now I can hear the music going down the road...

I am about done until the hardtop goes back on. Got some headbangers for the rollbar ordered from WH's for my Christmas present and a few loose rubber pieces to finish the install.

                            • A friend of mine is one of the most meticulous people I know when he builds things. In my group of friends, we have coined the term "Z-Spec" (in honor of his last name beginning with a "Z") when we see things built and/or laid out especially well.
I think that I am going to start a new term here on NCB for all to use - "D-Spec". This work is a prime example of something meeting the D-Spec. Fantastic work, Doug.
