    Re: Carnegie Meetup!

Alrighty fellas - Sunday 10/21 has a slight lead and the voting seems to have stalled.

There's an added bonus to making it happen on Sunday: We're going to make it two events in one.

The plan is to meet at the Hop DeVine parking lot for the monthly Asphalt Social Club (think: Cars and Coffee) event. Hop DeVine is on Vasco Road, north of 580.
We will hang out there for a couple of hours, and then caravan out to Carnegie for our originally planned event of hanging out, BBQing some food, and playing around on the obstacles that they have there.

My first pass at an agenda for the day:

    9am(ish): Meet at Hop DeVine.
    10:30-11am: Caravan over to Carnegie
Stay as long as you feel like staying, plan on leaving around 3 or 4 depending on weather, participation, etc.

I think the combination of events will cater to every class of Bronco and every interest. The morning car show usually has some interesting rides to look at, and the event seems to be growing month to month.

I am willing to chip in some burger patties and a case of water. Once we get a better sense of attendance numbers we can better coordinate the rest of what is needed.

    Looking forward to it!

      Re: Carnegie Meetup!

Sunday sounds fine. I was just driving past it the other day...haven’t been on this site in too long. Time to take the Bronco out before winter.

                    Re: Carnegie Meetup!

                    Thanks for updating this Ryan.
Yes we are planning to do this tomorrow! Asphalt Social Club in the morning, lunch and screwing around in the 4x4 area at Carnegie whenever we end up out there.

I apologize for not being more active on this forum and in this thread specifically lately. The past two months have been insane for me on many levels. I am looking very forward to getting out in the Bronco and having a good time in a day dedicated to the hobby.

As Ryan's screenshot shows, I have purchased a bunch of burgers and hot dogs with fixings and some water to keep us hydrated. Adult beverages will be present as well.

See you guys in the morning!

                            Re: Carnegie Meetup!

Thanks everybody for joining the fun. We're going to need to do this more often.
I nominate Dave as the event photographer from now on.

I took some 4k videos on my GoPro; I have not been able to work with them yet but will try to put them up on youtube soon. I tried to watch them on my TV but it does not support 4k video. What a problem to have - videos at higher quality than what one's TV supports!

I have photos as well but they are largely the same as what Dave has posted already.

As we said at the event, these things are easy to plan, we just have to plan them!
