Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
    Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
    Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.

If that logic was sound, you would have a Smith & Wesson 500! Biggest handgun in the world!!! Oh and by the way, cheap bullets for that are about $2.00 per round!

Well, I was looking into a Ruger Mark III .22lr for fun today. I almost rented it just to play around, but it was an extra $20 to rent/rounds

Yeah, I want to get a 22 pistol next... those are great girlfriend guns or for people who haven't ever shot guns before. Also great because of the crazy cheap ammo!

Get the .22LR conversion for your 1911

I love anything that shoots .22LR. I have shot thousands of rounds through my Ruger 10-22 and I always bring it with me when I go blasting in the woods. Cheap to buy, cheap to shoot, accurate as hell, and fun! The Mark III pistol is a great choice, a buddy has one and (though he has left-hand specific grips) I enjoy firing it. Another friend has an old .22LR revolver which is also a kick in the pants.

Glad you got some more trigger time. Call me next time man! BTW my wallet got a little lighter today too... got a safe on order now (a long overdue purchase).

                Re: Another 1911?

The guy at the range said get the conversion kit too. It sounds like a good idea but I only have 2 problems with that.
                1. I kind of want another gun
                2. When you see a 1911 and a 22 sound comes out of the barrel, There goes your man card.

The Mark III just looks like a cool gun. It kind of reminds me of the gun used in "Lost in Space"

I kind of like the Taurus Tracker in .17 hmr... .17 hmr is a fun round with a surprising amount of pop vs. .22lr.
