    The S.O. up here uses surplus 1911/A1's as department issue. Two of the more obscure manufactures are Remington Rand and Union Switch & Signal. Nice to see these classics still out doing what John Browning intended 60 odd years later.

      Finally got out to the range.

      Pistol was 10 ring from 15 yards straight out of the box. The pistol itself is extremely tight, had some failure to load 185 corbons; but 230 golden sabers and 230 Winchester targets ran like butter.

        I've run 200 hand loads through mine. Really makes the gun manageable. You're going to love this gun.
        I'm a huge fan of 1911's.

          I actually have about 400 through it now, it's my daily CCW piece. My wife shoots it better than my xd40. Best $500 I've spent on a gun to date.
