Pictures of what I've been doing to the van. Old transmission cooler compared to new one. Excursion front seats that I installed new upholstery. Vinyl flooring with aluminum thresholds. Inside wall plumbing roughed in. Tub halfway installed. Have to run drain still. Got a new refrigerator, it had one, but it's an absorption unit with around 3.5 cu ft capacity. New one is compressor unit, ac/dc, 7.6 cu ft. Just moving it around in the van to double check my lay out. Autometer gauges with the angled mounting rings, volts, water temp, transmission temp, oil pressure.

This just looks like a fun build. Nice work. The tub though. Didn't expect that. I'm invisioning bubbles, scrub brush and a rubber duct.

Is there going to be a shower or just a tub?

It's going to be used as a shower. I put the valves close enough that you can use it standing outside the back doors also, which will be how I will usually use it to be more comfortable.Mount a curtain across the two doors.

That floor plan really uses the space well. Still pleanty of room to move around. Are you going to install a roof AC unit?

I won't put an AC on the roof, it came with one originally that wasn't supported well enough and the whole roof sagged. I did enough framing now that it wouldn't have that issue, but if I do a full length rack it would be taking up space. I will look into portable units, they have come a long way, and I only need to have it with me when traveling somewhere hot.

Your craftsmanship and attention to detail in this project is amazing. That interior looks like something from a factory. I'm very impressed.

Fun side-note. I was recently vacationing in Utah where I encountered a guy from Germany, driving a Citroen camper van around the US for a six month vacation. I spoke with him for a while; he said it was cheaper to ship his camper here and fly over to meet it, than it would have been to rent an RV here for one month. So now you can do the same kind of thing! (kidding - I doubt most people would ship their vans around the world... but I keep thinking about how much of an awesome adventure the guy was on and your van reminded me).
