IT's mostly for ground clearance, especially for the 10.5 rear axle, it gets caught a lot.
In fact if i had 1" more clearance I would't have had to relocate that boulder Coyote lol, I would have been able to back up and get back on line

Just moved to the Valley Springs area last December for a new job. Saw the NorCal Broncos at Wild Horses open house last April. Got me going on mine again. Just finished with a 2 1/2 inch lift, rear disc brake kit, gear swap to 4.56's and new 33 inch tires. What a difference! Looking forward to hit some local trails.

Once I figure out the pictures, I'll post some up.

Well get on it quick Bob! Grab the family, or whoever you like to hang with on the trails, and see if you can find the group up on the Rubicon this weekend!

Did you see the thread in the Trip and Trail Report Forum here? Sounds like a great group is going this year. Some went yesterday, some more going today, and I think a few more tomorrow.
Check out the thread and catch up with goings on in case you have not already. If you have already, then that's something you can look forward to in the future. Among other gatherings.

                Welcome Bob.

Just throw ideas on the board and a lot of us will join for a day/weekend trip.
I was thinking of Coyote Trail down by Shaver lake sometime this year. Thats an easy "skinny/tight" trail.

                  Hello,

I just moved to Gardnerville, NV from Gunnison, CO. I'm hoping that there will be some trail runs and other stuff close(ish) to me. I have a 74, that I have had for over 20 years. I'm headed back to Gunnison next weekend to pick it up, along with my F250. It's been fairly highly modified. Bloody Knuckle arms, 79 big bronco axles, Mustang EFI, 3G, hydroboost, for years. Before I moved it was undergoing an extensive upgrade that I didn't get finished before I moved. My plan is to finish it up by next summer. I pushed the front axle forward about 2" with custom adjustable wide coil buckets, 4x4x2 box, cut off the front clip & replaced with a crude tube front end, new wire harness, custom dash, pushed the rear axle back about 3.5", put it on 99 Tahoe leaf springs (we'll see how that works out), ZF 5 speed & Atlas 4 speed, and probably a few things I've forgotten. Things got a little out of hand.

I also have a 72 Explorer Sport I bought about 1 year ago. I thought the 74 project would get finished faster, so I haven't had much time to spend with the 72. It turned out to be 1 of 141 red Explorer Sports built. Original paint, 95k miles, so it's not cherry, but will remain a stockish LUBR with minimal changes. It's on an old, STIFF looking lift that will be updated. It will also get PS, PB, and disks up front. I'll fix the fairly minimal (for a Bronco) rust issues. I do body and paint for a living.

Site has been quiet lately? Guessing people are hunkered down in their garage with projects.

Hi guys, Scott here. Former Bronco owner (regrettably sold it years ago) looking for a new project. Preferably running, anywhere from stock to built. Didn't have near message forums when I had my first bronco so hoping this will help me find another!
