So as to not hijack Rick's Rubicon closure thread - here's some information about the Stanislaus National Forest (basically the area from highway 4, south to Yosemite). In short, most of the forest roads are closed though 2018 due to storm damage.

This is not going to be a great summer for wheeling. A neighbor was recently staying near Shaver Lake and told me that things are bad up there too - some trails may not open at all due to the amount of snow and the higher elevations that those trails reach.
I think my time in the mountains this year may be limited to a Tahoe cabin trip next month, and maybe some mid-summer skiing at Squaw Valley
