Re: After all is said & done
Half or so of the Deer Valley Trail is in the Stanislaus national forest, so my thought is there's a chance we've still got half of that trail (out to the first meadow possibly... when running south to north).
Fordyce Creek is in the Tahoe National Forest, correct?
While they are farther away, the trails around Shaver Lake are also good alternatives. My fear in all of this is that the few local trails that remain open are going to be crowded to the point of not being enjoyable. I wheel to get away from crowds... this summer I think I'm going to take up backpacking and canoe camping... LOL.1970 Bronco
