You know how it is....start a project and it takes 10 times longer than expected and for every change you make it creates multiple fixes. In my pursuit of better driveline angles I had to build a new Tcase cross member, Tcase support, track bar cross member, and re-notch frame for starter and Tcase. I've already converted to front leafs and mounted a Cummins 4bt with NP435 and Stak "B" box. The Dynatrac 60s are ARB locked with 4.10 gears. By the way, the 4BT makes 178hp. and 472ft.lbs. of torque at 2300 RPM after a few tweeks and before a rebuild. Here are some pics.

Re: Brut's '66 Expedition Bronco
Nice! Finally somebody doing a 4bt rig here on NCB!
This isn't meant as a criticism - but what's with the front leafs? Couldn't find coils heavy enough to support the diesel motor or what? Regardless this is going to be a fun build to watch.1970 Bronco

I can't wait to watch this one being built too. Very nice job so far bud. I am curious about the front leaves too. I know you can get coil springs with enough spring rate to support the weight of the 4BT. Another reason perhaps? Just curious, that's all. Nice shop too!

Thanks for the nice complements. I went with leafs because of static weight and weight transfer. The combination of lift, PTO winch, bumper, 4bt, and the unsprung weight of the D60s had me concerned about trying to tow at hiway speeds. Everything is a compromise. I sacraficed some articulation for stability but the intended use is long range off road travel in lieu of challenging the Bronco on high difficulty trails. There are plenty of 4bt Broncos with highly flexible suspensions. They just don't have stability for towing I'm looking for. I think everyone on this board with lockers knows what I'm talking about. That little Bronco "dance" that happens when the rear diff locks up. Thanks!
