  • Slow Bronco build

Well, with my other Bronco finished and now sold it’s time to start a new project. The plan for this one will be a scratch built body using WH panels but stretched about a foot for more back seat room and a goal of a 115” wheelbase. It will have one ton axles, full hydro steering, ARB’s and to the chagrin of many purists a GM LSA engine. The rest is not set in stone. But every project needs to start somewhere. So here’s the first piece. A Dana 60 out of a 2006 Ford F-350. Just finished cutting all the radius arm mounts and other brackets off. What a project! If you have plans to do this, get ready for lots of metal dust everywhere!!!

Sounds like a great build. I'm at 112WB and love it. Just build beefy skid plates and beefy arms because you do drag a little more. I thought you were going to build a buggy?

Mainly more interior room for kids and dogs. But also a bit more stable for hill climbs.

Yea. Bought a house, had a kid and doing improvements to prepare for a build. My goal is to have it done by the time the oldest is 4. She’s almost 1, that why I said slow build.
