  • Johnson valley trip

We're heading down to jv april 10-14 with a few rigs. Plan on hitting the trails hard and having a good time. Possible pyrotechnics and drunken fire pit times.

    All are welcome to join.

No, verizon hotspot at camp. Just fixed darins bronco, his mastercylinder for the clutch was pulling out of the oe sheetmetal in the firewall. We stuck some band iron in the backside to disperse the load of the bolt as he pushs the clutch in. My other brother melted his motor mount on his land cruzer and we're rigging that up now. No trails today or at least not yet. Tommarroe for sure.

Cool vids! Yeah, stiffer motor mounts are in order. Did the flop do much damage?

                              Re: Johnson valley trip

The FJ suffered broken motor mounts( which were replaced), a cracked transfer case and a flop on chocolate thunder. Scott's bruggy had a mech. fuel pump go out on sledge and broke a 90* fitting off his ram on claw hammer. My firewall tore where the MC bolts up to it, a flop on Wrecking ball, body damage, and ran out of gas at the exit of wrecking ball where the steep down hill section meets claw. At this point it was dark and starting to rain. The worst part was putting a hole in my engine case of my 5th scale Baja on the sand dunes.
