Boca and Stampede

So a few friends and I loaded up our snowmobiles and rode into their cabin east of Truckee. We rode past Boca and around Stampede to play on the power line right of way. Thought you guys (and gals) might enjoy a few pics.

Thursday afternoon the storm was just breaking up, these were taken on the Stampede dam.

Here are a few taken above Boca. Spring riding is nice, but it can get a little rocky if you're not careful. My sled is the green and black Arctic Cat. It's a fuel injected, power valved 800 with a 144" track. The yellow and blue one (a friends) is fuel injected, power valved 1000 with a 162" track. Both sleds are 2 strokes and do 100mph+ easily. The 1000 162" is like some kind of science experiment gone wrong. It will climb practically anything.

Yeah, not much compares to laying your sled over, rolling on the gas, and shooting a hill. I'd love to come down that way and ride some time. Take me to the steep and deep....
