  • Coyote Lake 2010 picture thread

I figured I'd start a new forum thread to store pictures from our Coyote Lake trip, since the other thread is titled "Dusy Ershim" and is several pages long.

I had a great time and I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Aside from my carb issues, nobody seemed to have any major problems and all made it through unscathed. Sunday was a very relaxing day, in the middle of two days of wheeling.

I can't wait to hit more trails in that area.

Patrick, I love the roof rack. Did you make it? What did you make it out of, .250?

Ha Ha. No .250 wall is too weak, so I used .388 wall.

JK, no it's actually a Con Ferr rack that bought used.

Near Shaver Lake, east of Fresno. It's a bit of a haul down from the bay area, but worth it.

Took me 2-2.5 hours to get to Patrick's house from Livermore, then around an hour from there to the trail. It took us a few hours to get into Coyote Lake from the trail head on the way in, mainly due to my carb issues as well as a few stops for pictures, lunch, etc. Took us only an hour to get back down from Coyote to Red Lake, then another 2 hours back to the trailhead (including a lunch stop and stopping for a few problems on the way out... Josh's inertia switch was acting up, Carl's rig got really hot, etc...)
