Carl (Delta) and I are going in August 17-19. Headed in early Friday morning and out Sunday after breakfast and photo ops. Anyone looking to join is welcome. We are both bringing kids up. It's not a hardcore wheelin trip, pretty moderate 4 or so hour trip in then camping and fishing and hanging out all Saturday. It's more about the downtime than the wheeling. If that's what you are looking for then join us. 33s and a locker are recommended but 33s an open I am sure we can get you in still. I'll be bringing my paddle boat for whomever wants to use it. Don't forget life vests for the kiddies.

Re: Coyote Lake Aug 17-19 2012
I just had a lot of first hand experience on this trail recently. I'm on 35's with cut rockers with NO "rocker" protection at all. I wheeled very carefully with ARB's turned off for almost the whole trip. In 2 3 foot sections I elected the lockers. Open diffs can make this trip!
Oh yah. As Patrick said, I have a chic transmission and 60:1.Last edited by Cheesenip73; 07-06-2012, 10:58 AM.

Re: Coyote Lake Aug 17-19 2012
I just got home from 4 days on the Coyote Lake trail, the trail is in good shape and the campgrounds are too. Firewood is scarce (thanks for the heads up, Patrick). We did have a chainsaw which helped us to get enough wood for 3 nights. I would HIGHLY recommend bringing a chain saw.
I ran the trail (as I do most trails) with the rear ARB engaged nearly full time just because I can. I engaged the front locker about 5 times on the way in and a few on the way out just to make it easier, but open/open would work with more careful line choices.1970 Bronco

Still chasing gremlins but getting closer to being ready. Figured I'd keep the playlist going. Just got out of jury duty so that's one more hurdle cleared for me going. The rig still isn't dialed quite to my liking but its getting there.
Any more thoughts on Dusy this year Patrick?1970 Bronco

I am almost certainly out. Way too much else going on right now. If you see me you see me but don't count on it. I'm a little bummed but I was up there in July and it was spectacular.1970 Bronco
