    Re: Rubicon June 9th

I noticed huge pills of rock everywhere on the trail. It looks like they are going to be paving more areas. Its mostly where there is run off going across the trail. Here is a little video of Soup Kitchen. The big rock in the beginning of soup bowl has been moved more in the middle making it very difficult to get a good angle at it.

The trail had puddles still but mostly dry. I only went to Buck but it seemed like the trail was a little easier. They altered the routes around a few obstacles. For instance, you know after Ellis that off camber area where your window frame is almost touching the dirt wall? You drive right around it and not even notice it now. There is a bunch of rocks in that hole. Also the trail seemed pretty clean.

The 42's are the shit. They are a great improvement from my 40 Iroks. They don't seem to slide off the rocks as much. The pitbulls are a great tire for offroad.

Yeah that was like that last year too. Along with the hard section right after you go through Ellis Creek. It was all filled in with trees and rocks last year so now you have to take the bypass up around to the left.
