We started out a little cold in the morning so Mr. Handy Wrap struck again.

I overfilled my C4 tranny Thursday night and honestly did not know it would be as big of a problem as it turned out to be. My 73 filled up most the canyon on the way up in burning ATF. White smoke and a smell that soon left all the other guys tagging way behind. 1/3 of the way up we pulled over for sandwiches and it was determined to allow the remaining tranny fluid to work it's way out up the dipstick tube. Needless to say the entire undercarriage is freshly lubed with ATF. I was happy to NOT catch on fire!
By the time I was at the top of the "4 lanes" it had leveled off.

We aired down and were off to V rock. No pics of me going up. Hopefully someone will post one.

You can see there was NO snow on the trail. BIG difference from last year were Ryan found we only went maybe a mile. This year was to the top.

Next obsticle was Hollywood Hill. We were lifting tires!
Mike, rocbrnc, was lifting the highest in the crowd. we ran down to put a load on the front bumper. He came right up.

Patrick took the long wheel base route. stock wheel base broncos DO NOT GO ON THAT! No rolls yet....

Some of the only snow to put tires on. We took advantage.

While on Posi hill, which Pat pulled through smoothly, we worked on Randy, Pat's cousin, he worked at it with great enthusiam. Clouds started rolling in so we gave him the slightest pull and he was up and out. As we were pulling away I as watching Toyota thing making the attempt of the wall portion. He flipped it on the lid so we rushed back over to help out. I run up with my camera out and when you see an A's ballcap, you think Ryan. He had jumped in for a ride up! His first roll, he was stoked and wanted to do it again.

Moon was full, we had heard that it was the closest to earth in a long time.

GREMLIN, Shane and his wife Kathy standing on the floorboards. You should see his wiring in that clean bronco. It's barely noticeable!

We had gotten to the top and took pictures and srambled down in smaller groups. At the top Rocbrnc took a look at HalfAsh's bronco front end and found some real problems. They headed down quickly. Then a few more left to go down. We got all seperated and while waiting for Ryan, Pat, and Randy at the trail head talked A lot. Finally they come around the corner and Ryan is bumperless! Years of fatigue had weakened the rear frame horns. They decided enough was enough. We were so glad it didn't happen on the road or freeway!

Looks like a good trip! X2 on the timing of the rear bumper falling off. Can you imagine hitting that thing doing 70+.

I was following Mr. Ryan and watched his rear bumper fall off. This was the first time I've ever seen Ryan speachless!
