  • GT40 351 lightning heads

I have a set of 351 lightning GT 40 heads going on my 69 351 engine. Anyone know if pushrods are same length?

so they are GT40X or GT40P? P's are cast iron and X's are alluminum. I know that there is not a differance with the P heads, but cant speak for the X's. But I highly dought that factory heads would require longer pushrods.

They are cast iron. I was told that my long tube headers would work on these, but not on P heads.

Push rods should be the same. Do you have roller rockers? I have a push rod length checker you can use. I would suggest you do this to make sure.

Thanks I'll take you up on the checker. I was going to tear it down this weekend. Instead we're going to do JAVILAMFD body mount, body lift and powersteering sunday and monday. I'll get back to you when I do.
