  • Twin stick shifting procedure

Ok from my searches, I know this:

Left shifter is Front diff and goes H-N-L from front to back.
Right shifter is Rear diff and goes H-N-L from front to back.

I pretty sure theres a procedure to shift the Front shifter properly in order to get the gears engaged without trying to turn my D20 inside out.

    What is it?

High range is rearward on both sticks, your front to back is confusing!!! Ryan is correct, you must shift the rear first to get the front to shift if shift rails are stock...

Thanks, didnt mean to make it confusing!

And am I correct in assuming disengaging, front diff must be done first?

Just wanted to make sure while I am adjustin in the transmission shifter linkages.

yup.. to take it out of 4wd. you shift the front first and then the rear.

pops is correct. high is pull towards you and low is push. and i still have to drive backwards for about 3 feet to get it out of 4wd.

Guess I gonna have to get the truck onto jackstands and boggers off ground to spin the tires as I cant get the shifters to budge!
