    Elect tech help
This is regarding my dash and specifically my fuel gauge.

I have a brand new sending unit that reads 73ohms empty and 10ohms full.
    Brand new wiring harness
    Brand new Gauge

On the back of the gauge I have the wire coming from the volt reg to the (+) terminal and the wire from the sending unit to the (S) terminal.

When I turn the key on, fuel gauge reads full.
Right now the ohms are at 73. (I only have 5 gals in my 23 gal tank)

When I read the ohms with the key on, I get numbers all over the place.

Do I have the wires crossed on my gauge or am I missing something.

Volt reg is not pictured. Ordered a new one.

i hope this can help. I had to follow it to calibrate my new sending unit and gage. Also I replaced my ivr with the electronic one. Wh (Jim) says they are the best.
    good luck.

Long story short.....I am an idiot. I left a ground wire for the harness unplugged.
the volt meter was pushing the voltage through the dash and into the sending unit.

Better to figure it out yourself, than to have someone else find it for you... Glad you found it Ryan.
