  • Bent Sector Shaft??

How can you tell if you have a bent one. I think I smacked it on a rock on the poker run last saturday. I bent the tierod as well but I got that straightened out. The steering feels stuff while going straight which causes alittle wandering. Left or right it feels fine but it won't return to straight on it's own.

I'm not sure of how to check to see if it is bent, but I would think that you could pull the drag link off and have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth while you are looking at it. It would have to be bent pretty bad I suspect for you to see though. You may want to measure your tow in also. I think it is about 9/32" that you want. I usually go for about a 1/4" since it is easier to read on a tapemeasure though.
