  • D44 Flat-top Hi-steer knuckle questions

    My question is about a Hi-steer conversion with machined flat-top knuckles. Is there anyone who has done this type of conversion, or can share some insight.

        You need a good amount of lift, or it's going to crash into the frame, you need to check that out first.

          Kinda board today so I went out and snapped some pic's for ya. did run into a little prob with it hitting the cross member so I cut and plated it. I cant remember what year knuckles I used but I did have to modify them to get the caliper to fit. Added hydro asst witch makes it pretty busy under there. I tied in the high steer arm with the existing arm on the knuckle by welding a tab on to the high steer arm and running a big bolt down through it in to the existing arm with a heavy wall bushing squeezed in between, sort of ties it all together.
