  • Electrical Help with headlights

Having issues with my headlights. All of a sudden they both went out one night. The parking lights work, but no headlights. The high beam light in the gauge is stuck on(wondering if it’s some kind of dummy light). I tried changing the headlight switch, but no luck. No fuses are blown. I have a painless harness. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I guess that’s my next thing. Both dimmer and headlight switch were fairly new. Changed the headlight switch and didnt do anything so I guess I’ll try that next.

I had the same issue a few years back. Turns out it was the dimmer switch Went through 3 different dimmer switches before I got a good one.

How about a relay if you are running a head light harness?

Most likely the dimmer switch. I replaced mine and a couple of years later I had to replace it again. The new one just fell apart and I probably only use my headlights a couple of times a year.

You can bypass the dimmer switch to see if that’s the issue. The center terminal is power coming from the switch, jumper it to either side. One is low beam the other side is high beam.

I just have a regular wiring harness, no LEDs or anything else yet. Still working on it......

I tried replacing it last night and no go. Didn't try jumping the wires though. Will give it try, thanks.
