Re: Removing m/t column shifter lever
Before I removed the steering column guts I did not have any problem with the inner 3/4 shaft sliding out when I pulled on the steering wheel, maybe the grime kept it together. Now the shaft slides out easily. I don’t have any room to put the shaft clamp back on (guess I cut the shaft too short). For now I just have 3 greased washers taking up the space between the ujoint and bottom bearing. This keeps the steering tight and doesn’t allow it to pull out. This is only so I can test the steering and do slow runs in front of the house. Is there any bearing or spacer that will work, or so I need a new longer shaft?1970 Bronco 302 np435 3.5 lift 33s disc brakes ford 9 w Yukon locker
