Got 14” travel Bilsteins ordered up.......need to set up travel/down travel.

What percentage in inches would you set it up for and why. I will be limiting it to 12.5-13” to save the shock.

Mine are set at ride height with 6" of shaft exposed, I use 5" of that on up travel, at the most. The remaining 8" of down travel is mor than enough. Steering, coils, front driveshaft and radius arms are still the limiting factor up front. No limit straps here. I have 3" suspension lift up front. My shocks sit at 26" at ride height.

        Re: Travel

Usually bottom out the suspension (take out the springs) and the leave a 1/2" of shaft exposed. That way if the suspension ever breaks or the spring pops out I'm not buying a new shock
