Explorer Alt. wiring

Hi all,

I was just wondering what you Explorer guys were doing with the ignition circuit from the Explorer altenator. My book says it wants to see a 470ohm resistor and a indicator light bulb. I have wired these before without a resistor with no consequence that I am aware of. Anyone running a resistor? What type? Where did you get it?

Does that have a resistor built in? If it's just a pigtail I already have that. Tried calling BC, but had a hard time communicating.

That resistor is optional, you only need it if you are using an alternator dash light. Otherwise just wire it up to 12v switched.
