  • anyone fab a dana 20 twin stick?

Seems like I can build this fairly easy, I just need ideas for the pivot. Do they make double threaded heim joints or something similar that won't have side to side movement?
    Plans-
Shifter 1/2in rod with threaded end
Linkage possibly sleeve the shift rods and attach to bottom of shifter arm

here is the one I built:http://www.norcalbroncos.com/forum/a...8&d=1326148279

I used a bolt with a shoulder and sintered bronze bushings for my pivot, but that isn't really needed. I also used 7/16 stainless rod for the shifters. The most tricky part is making the two shifters travel the same distance for the two shift rails. I built a sleeve for the upper rail and welded a piece to it to lower the connection point. The important part is that the actuating arms on the bottom of the shifter handles are the same length.

Here's what I've done so far. Cut two 12in long shifters out of steel rod and welded them to the steel tube. Inserted brass bushings for pivot on the bolt. Fabbed up linkage out of flat bar. The tube fits perfectly over the shift pins.
      Parts:
      1-4.5in 3/8 bolt
      1-3ft 1/2 solid steel rod
      1-3/4 steel tube
      2-3/4od 3/8id brass bushings
      Some scrap flat bar
