  • Intake info needed

Now that my motor is in, I need to get the vacuum lines routed on my motor. On the Explorer intake, there are a lot of vacuum lines on the thing. Does anyone have schematics on the routing of the intake? I believe there is also a water line on the thing too. Would like to get this put together right the first time. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is my motor info: 1996 351W roller, Lightning lower, Explorer upper.

    Thanks in advance, Brad

    Brad-

Ignore the water lines. Not needed.

As for the rest, going from memory...

There is one steel line going forward that can be capped (I pulled the steel tube out of the manifold, then tapped the manifold for a pipe plug).

Seems to me there is a steel tube on the aft end for power brake vacuum. I have hydroboost, so that got capped as well, it's been several years but I probably used a pipe plug there too.

Then there's a tube on the aft left side for small stuff vacuum- that one goes to the fuel pressure regulator.

Finally there are two ports under the manifold that on the Explorer were tee'd together with hose, that run to the PCV which sits in the back center of the lower intake.

Pretty sure that's all of them.
