  • barebones wiring

Lets start with the fact I pulled all my wiring out of the buggy and don't remember how I had it wired before plus I'm a little burnt out and thinking about the wiring is making my thoughts blur.

Rig is carbed no harness's just a switch panel with fuse block and a few bus bars for hots and grounds.

I have a new mini starter that replaced my old style starter. Got a new starter solinoid for the bronco too.

    Starting with grounds......
1 line from bus bar for switch panel and fan solinoid to battery negative terminal
2 line from engine block to either bus bar or battery negative terminal
3 line from starter to starter solinoid
4 taurus fan ground to engine block

    HotS....
1 bus bar for switch panel to positive battery terminal
2 starter solinoid to positive terminal on battery
3 line from ignition switch to s on starter solinoid
4 line from dizzy to i on starter solinoid
5 line from fan solinoid to taurus high speed positive wire

    I think thats all correct
where does the start switch/button go on starter solinoid?
How does the new mini starter wire in since its different?

    Re: barebones wiring

Check these out and see if it looks right for your setup: From your description, you want a triggered output off the relay and a constant hot off the battery.

There is no wire from distributor to i post. The wire goes from i post to COIL battery +, downstream of the ignition resistor circuit.
