yes, the lower is. AFAIK, all the mid 90's 351 lowers (cobra R or Lightenings) were the same.Im trying to find some old pics I have of it. Ill post some newer ones here in a bit.
as for a cam, myself and others are running (i think from patrick??) the comp 35-308. nice a torquey, good driveablity with EFI, and pulls hard till about 5500. A few others are running close variants to this, with a think LSA being the only real change for the most part, between 112 and 114 to keep the vacuum happy, but I havent had any issues with mine, and run a manual, frequently down to 500 or so. Its not 'as'good as coming back from near 0 rpms as the factory cam was, but good enuf.

Ok, I've just seen a lot of people trying pass off the steel marine intake as a "Lightning" intake. Not saying that you would do that, mainly craigslist and eBay people. I'd like to buy it from you. Now we need to figure out transportation. Do you or do you know anyone that comes down this way? I'm in no hurry for it.

not a great pic, and its filthy. I wiped some dust off as you can see. I smoothed as much of the intake as I could beore painting, and then sanded the fins to look like the valve covers and struts. I do have the '5.0L' top plate somewhere too if you want it. I had planned to make my own at some point.

I still have this, with a 65mm ford throttle body for 500. I prolly have a MAF to go with it. Easy way to go mustang fuel injection with a 351.
Its on my motor still if you want to hear it run/work.
