Sounds like it's going to be a good time, wish I could make it but the kids would kill me if I postponed the Disneyland trip for beer, tri-tip and tube doors!

Glad you guys enjoyed the baked beans, they are one of my favorites to make and are always a welcome accompaniment to fabulous tri-tip! Watermelon worked pretty well for a little snack for the push through to the finish too! Great pasta salads, cookies, and everything else!

If anyone wants to make up some beans themselves they are pretty easy but its all to taste....
This is my approximation on stuff I threw in the pot on the stove...
128oz pork and beans (cheap as you can find - best if you drain out the juice)
1 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup Worcester sauce
2 Tablespoons yellow mustard
1 Tablespoon liquid smoke of your choice (adjust for your smokey preference)

Heat on med - high, stirring occasionally till it all starts to break down
Good served day of or even better reheated the next day!

Josh, the beans were great, thanks for posting up the recipie. I was down cleaning up the shop, and noticed you left your crock pot. If I don't see you on the the Rubicon run, I'll give it to pat when he picks up his HREW.
