So it looks like Friday May 8th, crawlin68 will be in Morgan Hill helping me out on the Bronco, and I wanted to see if anyone was interested in meeting up and having a beer here in Morgan Hill?

I do but its the older model. it runs off of plutonium. the new version runs off garbage
i cant afford to fill it up

Yeah he means May 8th. I'll be up there on that day to help turn some wrenches on his Bronco to get it back on the road. Should be a fun day.

ha, that is what happens when you forget to flip the page on the calendar on your wall....May 8th it is.

As for where I have been, working on the house mostly, shooting some (my latest hobby)

The plan for the 8th is to pull out my trani and tranfercase, and rebuild the transfercase, put twin sticks on it and attach it to a rebuild trani and shove it back in there. So its a pretty full day, so at best an evening BBQ or beer would be in order.

I am not sure when crawlin68 needs to head for home, so that will dicate much of the timing.

I have a decent BBQ here if it looks like there would be time enough for a real meal, otherwise I can just buy some beer. I am not a cook, and don't play one on TV, so I am hesitant to volunteer anything too big, not like Sonny can......

Oh forgot to ask are you modifing the rails? And I don't have the linkage so pics would help.

So you can saperate front and rear wheel drive. Making more options with your transfer case.

that looks pretty easy, all you are doing is opening up the indents on the shaft so you can put it in front wheel drive without having to have the rear drive engaged.....

seems like something to do once you are in there.

seems like a grinder is all you need, might want to heat and quench the steel again to be sure it is hardend?

I've been kicking myself for not doing the mod when I when I was in my case... and I'm not even going to think about it until I pull that case out for some reason one day - hopefully not for a long time. So I guess my point is - do the mod!
