I've been itching for something different, something to actually make an AR-15 useful. So I ordered in a 300 AAC barrel, reloading dies and some other odds and ends.
Went into my least favorite gun shop today. Not only did they have the powder I was looking for but they also had some Barnes factory ammo (yeahhh).
* for those that don't know. 300 AAC is a chopped down 5.56 case that is necked up to .30 cal. Basically it allows you to shoot .30 cal out of your AR with nothing more than a barrel change. Originally designed to run heavy subsonic ammo, but people have had really good luck running light (110-150) ammo supersonicilly for hunting deer and pig.
