Awesome, best of luck to you Brad. I have been thinking that's something I should try at least once, a bucket list item maybe. Enjoy.

Brad, you lucky bugger. Wife is from the Vernal. Her family hunts the Blue mountain area every year. Dam resident tag prices kill me.

Not sure of exact location. It's out of Coalville towards Wyoming off 80 on a private 15,000 acre ranch. I belive the ranch borders Wyoming but not 100% certain. Rut is in full swing so hopefully they'll still be howling at the moon!

                  Re: Utah Elk Hunt

So, I'm back from a successful Elk Hunt in Utah. Second day hunting, I was able to call this bull in within 75 yards before he presented a broadside shot. One shot, one kill ethical shot. Then the work began. Took me about an hour to quarter him up just before dark. Went back in the following morning and another 5 hours later and 4 trips, he was out of the woods and hanging in camp. He is a 5 point bull and I couldn't be happier. Still a young bull so the meat should be very tasty! The last photo is of a young lad I ran into at the Salt Lake City airport. If you don't know who he is, his name is Urijah Faber. He is a world champion MMA fighter from Sacramento. Super nice kid with a great attitude. We talked for a bit before his flight.

Because you're so laid back from your trip. Worth turning a bit to see.

Nice work Brad. My freezer has been out of elk for a few years now. I can "store" some of that for you if you don't have the room.
