Angels For Soldier's Pet-CA/Foster Home Needed - URGENT
My wife volunteers with these guys/gals looking after the dogs of military folks fostering their dogs whilie they are on deployment. see below for the need.
I am in desperate need of an urgent foster home for Tommy. Tommy is a 9 yr old, neutered male, lab mix. Tommy is good with children and smaller dogs, but fearful of large dogs. He also thinks cats are fun to chase, so he would do best in a home without cats. According to his soldier, "He is protective of his yard but friendly to visitors. He has fear of some men and will cower." Tommy is currently in our foster care system but needs to find a new home for the next 6 months as Tommy definitely needs a fenced yard. He was doing well on his current foster home's invisible fence, until the neighbor's large dog came wander into their yard and got into a fight with Tommy. Because of this, he needs to find a new home with a fence as the foster home does not think it is safe for Tommy to be without a fence.
Please, if you or anyone you know might be able to take in Tommy for the next 6 months, contact me right away. We desperately need to find Tommy a safe yard. Even spreading the word about Tommy to see if we could find him a home would be a great help! He is currently located in Auberry, CA but we will work with the foster families if transport is needed.
