All packed up and getting ready to head out to Ninilchik, Alaska for five days of fishing for halibut, ling cod, rock fish and maybe some salmon. We will have a fish feed when I get back...either here at home or at the next bronco meet. Or, if anyone has any suggestions for a good meet spot in-between where most can attend, let me know. Have fish, will travel. Will be posting pics during the week.

                      Re: Alaska

I have been trying to figure out where I want to go on vacation next year and I think I've narrowed it down to Alaska or Baja. Deep Sea fishing is most definitely going to be a part of wherever I end up going.

                            Re: Alaska

i'm back. woke up friday morning at 4:30, went out and fished 12 hrs. went back to the lodge, packed up...left for anchorange at 7:00 pm...got to the airport at around 11:00. checked all my fish and caught a 1:15 am flight to san francisco, made it home by 9:30 am...today. had a great time fishing, i didn't make the schedule or i would have allowed more travel time and rest...but now we're ready for a fish feed. brought home 450 lbs of salmon and halibut fillets between 3 of us. anyone game for a fish feed? tell us where and when...wherever is most convenient...for the most attendance...is good. we would like to have it as soon as possible...for freshest fish. how 'bout a roll call on who can make it and any ideas on where...we'll leave the offer up for a week.

                            here are a few pics.

dug for clams...biggest clam was 1.5 lbs.
