I rented earlier this week. Overall I give it 2 out of a possible 5.
The plot: A stoner (Seth Rogan) witnesses a murder and he and his dealer are forced to go on the run from not only the murderer, but his gang and the police "who are on the take" (of course)
I had high expectation going into this movie, I for some reason love Seth Rogan. He does a great job at playing the normal guy stuck in an uncontrolable situation, such as when he played in Knocked Up. James Franco again shows is odd, but yet broad acting ability and plays one the best stoner's since the days of Jeff "Hey, Bud" Spicoli. But the real show stealer was Danny Mcbride. He plays the middleman, and his character in the movie is classic! Thug life!!
Over all the movie did a good job of somehow mixing the "Whoa" of a stoner cult flick, with the action of a Stallone action movie.
I'd say it was a mix of Mallrats (for it's witty banter and long drawn out monologue's) and Spy Kids for the action and decent special effects.
