Need help. Got this 67 Bronco which has an electronic ignition system which appears to have malfunctioned. Is there anyone in the Redding/Cottonwood area that I might trailer it to for fixing?
Many thanks,
David
Hi David. I know you've asked for help in finding someone who can fix this, but short of that can you explain to us what you've observed? I ask because ignition systems are fairly straightforward and easy to replace. Do you know what kind of ignition it is? Have you confirmed that there's no spark? I like to start simple... check grounds, then check for spark (either with a timing light or the old screwdriver in the terminal, watch for spark method). Short of there being a loose connection, electronic ignition systems tend to either work or not work. Fortunately they tend to be fairly inexpensive, so swapping it out should be a pretty quick and cheap test. I'd help if I were closer!
