Make it reliable and drive it... Hopefully you got a good deal on it... One of the next things that will rocket in value.

Definitely! Great rides for sure. Find an old Hicky catalog and go to town hunting down the old parts on eBay and Craigslist and make it a '70's flashback on wheels.
Of course, that might take your whole lifetime, but in the end it's worth it!

Is it an automatic or manual trans? Have a 203 or 205 transfer case, or something else?

I got a good deal. It's a 350/350 & unknown transfer case at the moment. 6" lift with 35s on centerlines. I'm thinking Holley sniper and a cage for now and play with it. I do need to get my Bronco done first though so I can get back on the trail. It's been 3 years since I last wheeled.

Sweet, those are good rigs. Given that they were built from 73-91, parts should be abundant and relatively cheap too...
My dad drove the wheels off of an 86 K5, I drove it quite a bit as well as a teen. Always enjoyed it.

Nice ride for sure! I'd hang on to it because they are only going to go up in value.

For sure, start off with just a change of all fluids, check out battery and brakes.

Drive it on weekends getting parts for the bronco, that’s what I did with my 96 F150. Sure hope that truck ain’t getting written off!

The blazer getting written off? No. I'm bringing it up to the mountains and leaving it there to drive around. The wife is sooo happy.(not!) My boys can help me work on it.

Bring it to my house! That's all the advice I've got
