heres a thread for our ‘other’ projects.

To start my buddy gave me one of his dad’s old drill presses after he passed away years ago. It’s been sitting at my folks for a few years in a non climate controlled garage and I brought it home a little while ago.

finally cleaned up my garage enough to want something that didn’t need major tinkering with. Just rehab and enjoy. So slid it out, grabbed some scotch brite and steel wool, wd40 too and went to town on the table.

gonna clean up all the surfaces, paint in black stainless or Gun metal grey. Especially hope to get the spindle not to slip under load.

After a couple hours...

its gonna be a great tribute to ‘the old man’. Side cabinet tool box will have a angle iron frame on casters built around it to have the drill press on top and out of the clutter standing proud.
